This processor features an integrated 15 MB cache and 7.2 GT/s bus speed that gives the processor core faster access to larger amount of data used most often. It supports SpeedStep® Technology switches both voltage and frequency in tandem between high and low levels in response to processor load. Virtualization Technology (VT-x) allows one hardware platform to function as multiple virtual platforms. Its Thermal Monitoring Technologies protect the processor package and the system from thermal failure through several thermal management features. Flex Memory Access allowing different memory sizes to be populated and remain in dual-channel mode. Packed with more features, the Xeon E52640 Processor is the ideal choice for virtually all of your data demanding or standard enterprise infrastructure applications.
