The Dell™ 6U Steel Closeout Filler Panel is a solid piece of metal designed to cover an open 6U space in a rack enclosure. The Closeout Panel also improves air flow characteristics for servers by directing air into server inputs rather than open areas of the rack. This product has been tested and validated for Dell racks. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system. Steel closeout filler panels provide support for more types of racks, with tooled installation for square-hole and threaded or unthreaded round-hole racks. Multiple sizes are available for optimizing coverage in 1U, 2U, 3U, or 6U increments. Hardware with #10-32 threads is provided to support installation in threaded-hole racks. For tool-less installation in a square-hole rack, use the Dell plastic closeout filler panels available in 1U and 2U sizes.
