Adobe® Acrobat® Capture® Personal Edition V3-Win UPG Retail Box is a professional production tool for converting scanned, paper-based information into compact, searchable PDF documents optimized for electronic publication. It features a hardware dongle that allows conversion of up to 20,000 PDF pages. It performs Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to recognize text in sixteen languages and includes legal, medical, scientific, and large user-defined dictionaries. Recognition of font styles and customized font sets improves the accuracy and font mapping. The software also creates hypertext links automatically, including table of contents, indexes, cross references, email links, and URLS, increasing productivity and making documents easy to navigate. Improved page decomposition lets you convert forms, tables, and visually rich color pages into PDF files that need less clean-up by the deskew agent before publication. It integrates with front-end imaging solutions and back-end document management applications and runs on a Windows® NT® workstation to provide scalability and reliability. ODMA and metadata support enables easy integration with management systems, and robust error handling and notification features ensure job completion. The software is an upgrade from Adobe® Acrobat® Capture® 2.0.
