Netgear's FVS318 ProSafe VPN Firewall is a completely equipped, broadband-capable Virtual Private Network firewall. It provides Denial of Service protection and Intrusion Detection using Stateful Packet Inspection, URL access and content filtering, logging, reporting, and real-time alerts. The FVS318 has a Kensington Lock™ slot for theft protection. With the Freedom™ anti-virus and privacy protection software, the ProSafe VPN Firewall provides defense against network security threats. This firewall initiates up to 8 IPSec VPN tunnels simultaneously, enhancing the security of your network. With 8 autosensing Auto Uplink™ switched LAN ports and Network Address Translation (NAT) routing, up to 253 users can access your broadband connection at the same time. Network Address Translation routing enables shared access to your broadband connection. This includes Web page URL content filtering and 168-bit 3DES IPSec encryption capability. It also provides email notification of network activity, reporting and tracking of hacker attempts as well as real-time alerts. Smart Wizard, an easy-to-use Web-based configuration screen and Install Assistant reduces setup time and allows quick connectivity to your ISP.
