Overview
The Interface Expander SmartSlot Card from APC® offers data protection for multiple servers from a single UPS in multiple OS environments. It works in conjunction with the UPS to communicate with the connected servers to provide unattended shutdown during an extended power outage. Each server can be configured to shut down independently during extended power outages. Each server runs its own copy of PowerChute® plus software for monitoring and power management of the UPS. Dip switch controls on the front of the card provide flexibility in selecting proper monitoring and management functions.
