The ATLAS 550 T1-to-PRI Converter from ADTRAN® is a bundle comprising an ATLAS 550 Chassis and a T1/PRI Network Interface Module. It provides one PRI and one T1 interface. The ATLAS 550 functions as a multi-T1 IAD, 1/0 DACS, NxT1 Inverse Multiplexer, ISDN switch, IP router, and Frame Relay concentrator/switch. It features six slots - two network interface slots and four user interface slots. It supports circuit switching applications such as intelligent call routing, overbooking and least-cost routing based on phone numbers in the dial plan. The 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet LAN interface facilitates SNMP/Telnet management and routing. The included T1/PRI Network Interface Module features T1/PRI network interface that can be configured for DS-1, DSX-1, or PRI operations. Its T1/PRI port can serve as timing source for the ATLAS 550. Also, the module supports Drop/Insert and 1/0 Digital Access Cross-Connect Systems (DACS) applications along with PRI switching and Frame Relay applications.
