Overview
The 10GBASE-ER-XFP 10-Gigabit Ethernet Interface Module from Enterasys® offers high-performance connectivity options for serial optical data communication. This protocol-agnostic, small-form-factor 10-Gigabit Ethernet transceiver complies with IEEE 802.3ae 10-Gigabit Ethernet standards as well as XFP MSA specifications. Incorporated with 1550 nanometer serial port for 10-Gigabit Ethernet over single-mode fiber (SMF) via an LC connector, this module supports long-haul 10-Gigabit Ethernet transmission over distances of between 1.24 to 24.85 miles.
