Dell will discontinue offering Nextlife Ink by Dell effective, 1/28/2011.


New Ink options


Dell will continue to offer a complete assortment of new ink and toner for all Dell branded printers and many non-Dell branded printers on www.Dell.com As of 1/28/2011, the www.dell.com\nextlife site will redirect customers to the Dell ink and toner selector. Refer to Dell’s Dell Ink, Toner & Printer Cartridge Selector.


Product Warranty Support


Dell Direct Purchase Warranty :Dell will continue to provide product warranty coverage for all Nextlife ink orders purchased directly from Dell. Nextlife Ink by Dell has a 1-year warranty from the original Dell order invoice date. Refer to Dell US Printer Consumables Limited Warranty Dell will require the Dell product order number before warranty service can be issued.


Retail Purchase warranty : For warranty service on Nextlife Ink by Dell purchased through other online retailers or local retail stores, consumers should contact the retailer where they purchased the product.


Product Technical Support


Dell Technical Support will continue to support Nextlife Ink for the shelf life of the product (until August, 2011). Each Nextlife Ink cartridge has a manufactured date code (white label with five-numeric digits) on the side of the cartridge that tells the technicians the product shelf life. After the product shelf life has expired (from September 1st, 2011 forward) Dell technicians will no longer provide free technical support for Nextlife Ink.



Nextlife Ink FAQs


Q: Is Dell planning on offering any other remanufactured ink in the future?

A: Dell will continue to evaluate the market, but has no current plans to introduce re-manufactured ink or toner.


Q: What should I do if I have a bad cartridge from a Dell Direct order within the 1 year warranty period?

A: Go to www.support.dell.com and chat or email Dell technical support to request a replacement. Please include your Dell Nextlife ink order number, contact full name, ship to address and phone number.


Q: What should I do if my printer is not detecting ink levels after installing new Nextlife Ink cartridges?

A: Printers are not able to read ink levels on most remanufactured ink cartridges. Ignore out of ink or low ink alerts and continue to print. We recommend users disable ink alerts on the printer when using remanufactured ink.


Q: I purchased Nextlife Ink from an online retailer or local retail store and would like to exchange, return, or replace the product. Will Dell be able to help me with this since is Dell branded ink?

A: No. Nextlife Ink purchased through retail should be returned to the retailer for all product returns or warranty replacements.
